The University Archives
The University Archives, which opened in 1969, documents the history of the University of Delaware.This charge is accomplished through the collection of records from the Board of Trustees and all University units. Among the materials included in the archival collection are reports, committee records, correspondence, minutes of meetings, publications, yearbooks, news releases, theses and dissertations, department and program records, memorabilia, photographs, as well as records of the Women's College and the Foreign Studies Plan. |

The University Library Special Collections
Holdings of the Special Collections Department of the University of Delaware Library include books, manuscripts, maps, prints, photographs, broadsides, periodicals, pamphlets, ephemera, and realia from the fifteenth to the twentieth century. The collections complement the Library's general collections with particular strengths in the subject areas of the arts; English, Irish, and American literature; history and Delawareana; horticulture; and history of science and technology. |

The Permanent Collection of the University of Delaware
The Permanent Collection of the University of Delaware includes more than 1,200 works of art and antiques. The collection is managed by the University Archives,
under the direction of the Office of the Vice President and University Secretary. The Director of Records Management and Archival Services, University Archives, serves
as curator. The collection is a circulating decorative arts collection, which is displayed in University buildings, consisting of works of art (paintings and sculpture), antique furniture, silver and other decorative items that have been given to, purchased or commissioned by the University. |
