Effigy Stirrup Jar


This is an unusual representation of a bound prisoner vessel. The nudity of the figure and the rope around the neck identify this as a prisoner, but it differs in that the hands are not tied behind the back, as is the case of most other prisoner depictions. The vessel is molded and features such as the eyes, mouth, ears, and hands are carefully articulated.
